Inspired by the Kimball furniture, VILLA, I designed a contour extrusion using the outline of the furniture. The extrusion creates areas inside and out, for different collaborative purposes. Designing a brand for Kimball was part of the design; using their logo as a graphic inspiration, collaborative spaces were distinct from other areas.
The extrusions are located in the town hall where the collaborative area and resource room are, the kitchen and main conference room. The extrusion is very simple, but details are created with the areas it forms inside and out. For example, on top of the collaborative stair in the town hall is a spacious touch down area. Right underneath it is the resource library and pinup space.
